Our Story

At MoveSmart, our story is deeply personal.

Just recently, our beloved grandpa — our Poupa — fell ill. Watching him lose his independence was one of the hardest things our family has ever faced. His biggest fear came true: he lost much of his mobility, needed constant help, and became deeply dependent on us. More painful than his physical condition was the sadness and depression that followed, as he struggled to accept a life where he couldn’t move freely.

As a grandchild who was often by his side — lifting him, supporting him, encouraging him — I witnessed first-hand the frustration and heartbreak he felt. Despite our willingness to help him every step of the way, we realized that having the right mobility products in our home could have made a world of difference for him, and for all of us.

Today, Poupa is no longer with us, but his spirit guides everything we do.
MoveSmart was born from a promise: to improve the lives of those who need mobility support, and to ease the journey for the families who care for them.
